Our Farmers

Birds Eye has been supporting Australian farmers for over 60 years. We support more than 200 Australian farmers with our Birds Eye frozen vegetable range. Some families have been supplying to Birds Eye for over three generations. Learn more about some of our farmers below.

PEA FARMERS:

		Stewart McGee Stewart McGee is a second generation pea farmer for Birds Eye who hopes his four energetic young sons continue the family tradition. Stewart’s tender peas are grown in Bishopsbourne, a farming town in Northern Tasmania where extra lush soil means extra luscious peas.
		Phillip Loane Phillip Loane is a third generation grower for Birds Eye, happy to be producing peas for us just as his family has done for over 40 years. Phillip’s farm is in Tassie’s fertile East Devonport where he cultivates these tender baby peas in the richly productive red volcanic soil.
		Askin Morrison Askin Morrison is a second generation Birds Eye farmer, taking over from his father who grew our delicious peas for over a decade. Askin credits the pure air and clean environment of his farm in Cressy Northern Tasmania for his peas’ delicate texture and sweetness.
		Robbie Tole Robbie is a second generation pea farmer for Birds Eye who hopes you enjoy a tasty meal with his peas as much as he does! The small agricultural town of Cressy in Northern Tasmania is where Robbie cultivates the rich soil to tend to his tender peas.
		Rob Addison Rob Addison is a second generation pea farmer for Birds Eye, passionate about seeing the seeds he plants come to harvest every year. The fertile farmland in idyllic coastal Sassafras, Northern Tasmania is where Rob cultivates his crops of tender garden peas.

CORN FARMERS:

Damien Stocks

Damien Stocks is a third generation farmer for Birds Eye who is hoping his three sons will continue the family tradition.

Damien’s golden corn is grown on their family farm in Bathurst. The rich soil in regional NSW helps to fill the corn with sweet, succulent flavour as it grows in the fields.

Michael Willott

Michael Willott is a third generation corn grower for Birds Eye. He inherited his passion for farming from his father at a young age

Bathurst in regional NSW is where the gold rush began, and the soil is still producing riches with Michael’s golden supersweet corn cobs.

BEAN FARMERS:

Andrew Craigie

Andrew Craigie is a third generation grower for Birds Eye who looks forward to the next generation being involved in running the farm.

Andrew’s tender baby beans are grown in the rich red volcanic soil of fertile Sassafras in Northern Tasmania.

David Smith

David Smith has been a Birds Eye grower for 37 years and is delighted his son Henry is continuing the family’s farming tradition.

David’s crisp green beans are the result of the advanced irrigation and harvesting technology on his fertile farm in Cressy, Northern Tasmania.

OTHER FARMERS:

		Rebecca Gaby Rebecca Gaby supervises all the Birds Eye broccoli farms in Tasmania, coordinating from planting through to harvesting. It’s the rich Tassie soil that produces Rebecca’s delicious broccoli, nurtured by the mild climate that’s perfect for our growers.
		Tony Perry Tony Perry is a third generation grower for Birds Eye, running the original family farm alongside his brother. Tony grows his crunchy carrots in Sassafrass, Northern Tasmania, where the rich red volcanic soil is ideal for cultivating tasty vegetables.
		Matt Ryan Matt Ryan is building a rewarding career as a Birds Eye grower, starting up his own farm after he graduated from agricultural college. Matt and his young family plant and harvest their tasty cauliflower in the fertile soil of Thirlstane in Northern Tasmania.
		Stuart Greenhill Stuart Greenhill is a second generation farmer for Birds Eye and has been a pioneer in developing new planting and irrigation systems. Stuart’s quality onions are grown in the pure clean environment of Wesley Vale in Northern Tasmania, overlooking beautiful Bass Strait.
